For many years Maurice worked in sales and marketing before committing to development work.
He has enjoyed time on the staff of Hope House Addiction Treatment Centre, and been employed with Co. Monaghan and Co. Offaly V.E.C.’s as a trainer before launching Maurice T Corrigan Mind and Mood Mentoring.
In 2001 he led the first Coach training programme in Galway and has trained scores of coaches since that time. He also runs a private coaching practice working with groups and individuals.
The philosopher Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king. Said Aristippus, 'If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils. Said Diogenes, 'Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king'.
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
The goal is not to be better than the other man, but your previous self.
